Virtuoso is a global long short equity strategy managed by Aimone Beretta (previously at Crossinvest & Farema) and Alberto Matuozzo (ex. Farema). The fund employs a “Fundamental Bottom Up + Catalysts” approach. Fundamental analysis is at the core of the process but is supplemented by a data driven/quantitative approach to supplement understanding and inform portfolio construction and risk management. The aim is to identify businesses trading at a discount to intrinsic value for the long side, and the inverse on the short. The team like to invest in situations where there is a catalyst and these can include change in business drivers, balance sheet optimization and corporate activity. The fund is run with an average net exposure of 50% with the gross 130% -150%
